Indy-500 Winner Ryan Hunter-Reay Had a Close Finish Against Castroneves, Drivers on the Fast Track Should Consider Disability Coverage
American Ryan Hunter-Reay won the Indianapolis 500, the first American since 2006. Hunter-Reay has been busy making a name for himself in the racing circles. He currently has more wins than any other American IndyCar driver and has already captured nine career victories in IndyCar races so far. Other drivers will have some stiff competition if they plan on racing him in future matches.
“The win further validated Hunter-Reay’s status as the top American driver of this IndyCar reconstruction era and elevated his career to superstar status. The 33-year-old Floridian was the Verizon IndyCar Series champion in 2012, but you’ve got to have your game face on the Borg-Warner Trophy in order to climb all the way to the top. Hunter-Reay made it with a masterful drive from the 19th starting position, passing and holding off Castroneves in the final laps,” (A Ryan Hunter-Reay Indy 500 win is a victory for American racing: Sports Illustrated, May 25, 2014).
“What a great race at the end there between Hunter-Reay and Castroneves,” says Frank N. Darras, America’s top disability insurance lawyer. “Those last five laps definitely kept fans on the edge of their seats as they watched these pro racers traveling at speeds of over 200 miles per hour. Both Hunter-Reay and Castroneves pulled some aggressive moves on each other to get the edge as the last laps approached. Some of these moves were close, which calls into question whether or not they are covered by a career ending disability insurance policy.” (ESPN, Ryan Hunter-Reay wins first Indy 500, May 26, 2014)
Disability insurance is a cost-effective way to keep finances stable after a debilitating accident. The loss of a steady paycheck after an accident can cut anyone’s savings down to nothing in a short amount of time. That’s where individual disability insurance comes in handy. A racecar driver who is injured and can’t race anymore can still have a percentage of their annual income in the form of monthly disability benefits. An insurance agent can help them work out any additional riders and the type of policy to purchase.
“Racecar drivers know very well the dangers of their job. Thankfully, there are some great insurance agents out there to help keep their financial future secure. Disability insurance is not something you skimp on, especially when you’re involved in a sportwhere it only takes one small slip of the wheel to cause permanent injuries. Get in touch with an expert today so you and your family can be financially comfortable in the event of a disabling accident or crippling sickness,” says Darras.
