How to Protect Your Property During Storm Season | DarrasLaw Podcast
Today’s episode covers how to protect your property from storms including tornados and hurricanes. You only need to look as far back as May 2013 to find an example of a cataclysmic storm that struck Moore, Oklahoma. This storm that involved multiple tornados leveled the town and killed 23 people according to Wikipedia. The death toll could have been even larger if there had not been a warning broadcast to the community roughly 16 minutes ahead of time.
Whether you’re in tornado alley or live near one of the coasts, there are numerous dangers to renters and homeowners. But there are actions you can take to protect your property and financial security in the event of a natural disaster.
As Frank Darras, America’s top disability attorney, describes in greater detail within this week’s show, getting your property insured and creating an inventory of your home is critical for protection. As Darras explains, when disaster strikes it’s a bad time to begin taking a personal inventory. Gary Pozsik of Health, Wealth and Happiness also joins this episode of the DarrasLaw Podcast.
